In the Windows app, choose MP4 and enter target MB. On Mac, right-click your video and choose a Compress Video preset or Custom Size. Choose a maximum resolution when needed.

The size you need. The platform you use.
Choose 10, 20, 50 or 100 MB on Mac, or enter a custom target on either platform. Compression is lossy: duration, motion and source quality affect the result. Large files need processing time and free disk space. Windows accepts SDR video; Mac compression converts HDR to SDR.

Which workflow should I choose?
Use the Windows app window for video compression, or the Finder Compress Video menu on Mac. The optional Windows right-click menu currently handles audio conversion.
Can I compress a video for Discord or email?
Yes. Check the current upload or attachment limit for your account and choose a target below it. Limits vary by service and plan.
Will compression preserve the same quality?
ConvertRight creates a lossy H.264 MP4. Smaller targets can reduce detail or resolution; a long or fast-moving recording may need a larger target. Preview the output and keep your original.
